Amityville Necropolis

The end is nigh… sky high. After AMITYVILLE APOCALYPSE and AMITYVILLE WASTELAND, we’re taking one more spin on the merry-go-round and creating a crazy conclusion to this series of spoofy horror movies.

In AMITYVILLE NECROPOLIS, Amityville comes to the big city! If muggings and depressing office jobs weren’t enough, now urbanites have to contend with horrors and hauntings that drive them to the brink of madness and beyond. If the evil spirits don’t kill you, the rent will!

The anthology will be comprised of short horror movies with an urban theme. That could mean high rise apartments, office workers, blue collar workers, white collar workers, technology, take-away food, serial killers, alleyways, boomboxes, anything! Just make it “urban” because we are moving on from the “suburban” AMITYVILLE stories.

Submissions Rules & Notes

1) We’re looking for 7-10 minute horror shorts with the urban theme.

2) Must be shot in HD (1920 x 1080) resolution with clear audio.

3) No title screens or credits are to be included in the short – please submit your credits as text in the body of your submission email.

4) Use contact@retrosploitation.com to send us your short via on a file hosting service like Dropbox, Google Drive or the many others available.

Deadline: March 31st, 2026. We will email a release form to contributors we select for inclusion in this movie. We might be flexible to contributors needing extra time upon request, but may require proof of the short’s stage of completion. Don’t delay, start planning today.

Payment: One copy of the released movie on DVD or BLU-RAY (we will contact you for your details closer to the movie’s release). Credit on IMDB submitted after we lock final cut on the movie.

A note on quality: while we have always offered a reasonable amount of wiggle room in our acceptance of shorts from non-professionals, we do wish to make it clear we are not seeking intentionally bad/boring movies or pointless time filler. We want to see effort put forth to show and tell an entertaining story. Your name will be attached to this forever! The better the results, the better you look, and the better we look – it’s win-win all around! We understand a zero-budget project like this carries limitations – but imagination and courage beat economics. Believe in yourself. We believe in you and want you to be part of this.

Make a short, gain a feature film credit. It’s a simple as that.
