10 Years of Cult Rarities

Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Retrosploitation rocked up onto the scene? I can, when I look in the mirror. Jokes aside, we technically turn 10 in October but the birthday is as good a reason as any to celebrate all year long. Here are some production updates on future titles:

AMITYVILLE APOCALYPSE

It’s close. Cover art reveal above, subject to finalization. The project is on track and I really wouldn’t expect too much longer until its release. The serial numbers have firmly stamped them in as next in line for both DVD & Blu-Ray. I actually can’t work on this release without laughing my ass off, because it’s such a cheeky concept, which will extend to an atypical marketing campaign. I can’t thank the contributors enough.

SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT 3 & 3D

This turned out to be a much bigger movie than planned, so post-production is still moving along. The directing team have become in-demand since the movie was shot, so we’ve all had to be patient. But work has never stopped. It’s not a sequel anyone really just wanted to toss together in the editing room and throw it out to the public. Real care is being taken to make this the best movie it can be. And with the original film’s producer Lloyd Kaufman on board in a prime acting role, why wouldn’t we take the time to really doll it up? Plans remain to release this in both 2D & 3D too. Part 4 is already planned.

CHEERLEADER CAMP: ELIMINATION

This one’s the furthest out, to be shot later in the year. Not much to reveal in public just yet other than the killer mascot’s a wolf this time, not a panda and you can expect lotsa babes in the woods and associated laughs and mayhem. As a counterpoint to the heavily-connected SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT movies, this one’s going to be a new standalone story from CHEERLEADER CAMP TO THE DEATH carrying more thematic connections rather than literal ones, but you can expect some easter eggs calling back, no doubt.

We have more on the way, some on-show in our Upcoming Releases section, and many others held closely in our pocket. Everytime we release a title, that frees up valuable time to advance the next few on the assembly line. Thank you to our loyal customers over the past decade – there will be some fun rewards this year.
