New Releases for Christmas in July
It’s Christmas in July, Retrosploitation style. We’ve got classic yuletide cult-ness with the original SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT helping fill out our DVDs in advance of the upcoming part 3. A demented nun has us seeing double with Will Collazo’s BLOODY NUN DUOLOGY on budget-priced DVD. And the multi-country-made horror anthology ISOLATION ACTIVITY gets a blu-ray upgrade. Plus, grab the latest news on some of our projects.
Radio host Sadie slums the overnight shift, sharing seven stories of lonely, forgotten doom all captured by the evil eye of everyday technology. As the night wears on, it becomes apparent that all is not what it seems.

After sanctioning the shorts from around the world in 2020 we shot wraparound footage intended to give the stories a cohesive link. Rudimentary CGI was employed to conjoin characters from all the stories into a bizarro ending that just manages to hold everything together with duct tape. These challenges are expanded on in the Behind-The-Scenes footage with commentary, exclusive to this BD upgrade.

Do you know about BLOODY NUN? Will Collazo’s two chapters are fun throwbacks that bring to mind the horror hijinks of the late 80s wrapped up in 90s-era vibes from the direct-to-video wasteland. We’ve already released solo to Blu-Rays in times past so in this case with the DUOLOGY DVD we wanted to offer an affordable way to sample these flicks. We released SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT 2: REVIVAL years ago so what’s the deal with finally releasing part 1 now? The deal was, the film was so prevalent on DVD from other companies, there almost seemed no reason to bother gunking up the marketplace. But with our move mostly off Amazon to selling direct a while back, and wanting to offer the SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT 3 funding campaign a 3-film collection, it became necessary to pull the trigger on our version of the original movie. So, it’s there for completists and with a matching design to part 2, to boot. “Merry Christmas in July, you filthy animal” -Gangster Johnny, probably.

This week on Blood Wave, our streaming channel: OCCULT PREDATOR arrives to throw assorted true-life recordings and true-fiction hauntings at your screen. This documentary/found footage combo even manages to bring bigfoot into the mix. At least, we think it’s bigfoot, powered by the supernatural if he wasn’t already fearsome enough.

SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT 3’s campaign ended recently and managed to pull in 300% of the asked-for funds. While we would have sarged ahead regardless of the results, it’s heart-warming to know so many horror fans are getting on board with this burgeoning franchise. The movie shoots next week, and you can expect it to be released by December this year, if not sooner.
